Course Details

Occupational English Language (OET) 

The OET is a clinical English test recognised by government healthcare bodies to assess the medical English skills of international professionals, including doctors, nurses, dentists and allied health professionals.

 

Why take OET?

CES Leeds and CES London offer tuition for healthcare professionals who wish to take the OET.During this course you will cover all aspects of the exam: its language and skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking); the exam structure and exam techniques.The OET course covers a range of language required to facilitate communication in a professional healthcare environment. Teachers will prepare you with tasks simulating real workplace scenarios and you will be tested on relevant language skills for healthcare.CES Leeds is an official OET Test Centre. When can I start my course?

The open OET course runs subject to sufficient demand. We can consider tailor-making courses. However to fit the demand for groups of participants. Please contact us to discuss possibilities.

What are the Class times?

The open 45-hour course normally runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 14:00 – 16:30 for 6 consecutive weeks.

What time does the school building open?

Our school buildings open at 08:30 Monday to Friday and are not open at the weekend.

Will the classes follow a textbook?

All material is provided for the course.

How will you decide which class I will be placed into?

Most successful participants will require at least B2+ level on our placement test.

Will I be able to move up or down levels during my stay?

This is not applicable for the OET course.
