Our Language Development General English Course is eligible for Erasmus+ funding and is designed to help you learn English on an immersive programme that maximises classroom time with continuous focus on improving your overall communicative skills and fluency. You’ll take classes from 9 am – 1 pm. Every afternoon, you will also have access to our social and cultural programme designed to help you practise and improve your English while experiencing more of Ireland and Dublin.

Homestay
We carefully choose people and families to host hundreds of students every year. You’ll get to share meals with your host while practising English in a welcoming environment and learning more about Irish culture.

If you need self-catering accommodation, CES can offer a range of residential options depending on availability.
Our social and cultural programmes are an important part of the Erasmus+ experience. Participants can improve their English while exploring Irish culture and connecting with other international learners.

This Course is available all year starting Every Monday.
Your classes run Monday to Friday, starting at 09:00 and ending at 13:00. Classes break at 11:00 for 20 minutes until 11.20.
If you are taking the Intensive Course, afternoon classes start at 14:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, finishing at 16:00.
This course consists of a range of language lessons taught using the Communicative Approach. This puts emphasis on utilising the language that course participants already know and building on core skills that they have already developed. This course contains a range of self-study strategies to encourage life-long learning.
Our school buildings open at 08:30 Monday to Friday and are not open at the weekend.
Your lessons are developed by our academic team and are designed specifically to meet your needs. Every week, a programme will be posted up in your classrooms so that you will be aware of that week’s learning goals.
You can buy a course textbook from the school reception and this will be used to provide structure for the lessons and it can be purchased from the school reception.
You will sit a placement test on your first day at our school. This will assess your grammar, writing and speaking skills and is used by our academic teams to place you in the most appropriate class.
We offer a system of continuous assessment during your study and at the end of each week our academic team will discuss which students should move to a different level in order to maximise their language experience.
If you feel you are in the wrong level, speak to your class teacher or to the Director of Studies.
