Lessons focus on developing core language skills, with particular emphasis on speaking and listening. Vocabulary and pronunciation work are integrated into each session. Role-plays, AV technology, project work, and task-based activities help students develop communicative confidence in English.
An entry-level test is held on the first school day, and students receive an end-of-course certificate and student report.
Full-board residential accommodation is included. Students also enjoy supervised sports and activity programmes with full-day and half-day excursions every week, alongside 24/7 pastoral care.
Designed for elementary-level students and above, learners receive 15 hours of tuition per week, with each lesson lasting 45 minutes.

We are delighted to offer residential accommodation close to our Junior Summer Centres in Toronto, London, Oxford, Edinburgh, Leeds, and Worthing.
Students have plenty of opportunities to improve English outside the classroom through our varied and diverse social programme.

Worthing, Oxford and Leeds may have lessons in the mornings and afternoons depending on dates.
Toronto and Edinburgh only have lessons in the mornings.
Our school buildings open at 08:30 Monday to Friday and are not open at the weekend.
Your lessons are developed by your teachers and are designed specifically to meet your needs. Every week a new programme will be shared with you so that you will be aware of that week’s learning goals.
All classes at CES use a coursebook. These are available from reception and form an essential part of your lessons. Please note, each level uses a different book, so you will need to purchase subsequent textbooks as you progress.
A level test will be sent to you in advance of your arrival. This will assess your grammar, writing and speaking skills and is used by our academic teams to place you in the most appropriate class.
The programme includes English lessons, full-board residential accommodation, activities, excursions, supervision, pastoral care, and an end-of-course certificate.
