Morning lessons focus on enhancing core language skills, with particular emphasis given to Social and Emotional Learning which allows students to develop emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills. We utilize real-world content which ensures students are using current and relevant vocabulary and topics of discussion. Collaborative projects, AV technology, and task-based activities will develop communicative skills. An entry level test will be held on the first school day and an end-of-course certificate and student report is provided.
Full board Homestay accommodation with packed lunch is included. Your young adult will also enjoy a supervised sports and activity programme, full and half day excursions, one disco per week and 24/7 pastoral care.

In Canada, classes usually run Monday to Friday, starting at 09:00 and ending at 12:15. Students also take part in leadership-focused learning, activities, and excursions as part of the wider programme schedule.
Students will sit an entry-level placement test on their first school day. This helps the academic team assess their English level and place them in the most appropriate class.
We offer a system of continuous assessment during your study. At the end of each week, our academic team will discuss which students should move to a different level in order to maximise their language experience.
If you feel you are at the wrong level, speak to your class teacher or to the Director of Studies.
