CES Edinburgh is a short 10 minute walk from Haymarket train station, and a 30 minute walk from Edinburgh's Waverly train station that offers direct connections to all major Scottish cities, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and London.
Edinburgh's Lothian Bus network is one of the most reliable and highly rated services in the UK, and with many bus stops within easy walking distance of the school, CES Edinburgh is well connected to the rest of the city. Tickets can be purchased using contactless card or mobile phone, and the cost is capped per day and per week. For those staying longer than two weeks, we recommend purchasing a local Ridacard that allows for unlimited travel on bus and tram.
Built in the 2010s, Edinburgh's tram network is the newest way to explore the city. Connecting the shore at Leith to the city centre, and then continuing on to Edinburgh Airport, the tram is a quick and easy way to navigate the main city route. The nearest tram stop to CES Edinburgh is Shadwick Place and is less than ten minutes from the school.

Some social activities are free, such as movie nights / afternoons and trips to museums. Other activities may incur small expenses. For example, students should buy their own drinks during the pub nights. Most weekend excursions are not free and are not included in course fees (unless otherwise stipulated in group packages) and are pay-as-you-go.
