CES Edinburgh’s Junior School is located in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town in the James Gillespie’s High School; a modern facility designed to meet the needs and requirements of today’s young learners. Just a short walk from the Meadows park, it is easy to see why Edinburgh has been named the greenest city in the UK, and our dedicated summer school team are on hand to ensure that our students have an exceptional Scottish experience both inside and outside the classroom.

Junior Residential Programme includes: 

  • Full board accommodation in Edinburgh University’s award-winning Pollock Halls of Residence (single room with shared bathroom)
  • Award winning restaurant facilities for breakfast and dinner (lunch provided in the school)
  • Students are accompanied to school every morning
  • Lessons in James Gillespie’s High School nearby
  • 20 lessons/15 Hours tuition p/w in multinational classes
  • Course book rental and additional course materials. Entry and exit level test and welcome pack.
  • Certificate of Attendance and individual student report
  • Extended afternoon and evening activity programme
  • One full day excursion each weekend
  • 24 hour emergency help line Laundry facilities

Residential accommodation is available from 22 June until 2nd August 2020


Junior Homestay Programme includes:

  • Full board, shared room homestay accommodation with specially selected Scottish host families. Breakfast and dinner with host family; packed lunch provided in the school.
  • 20 lessons/15 Hours tuition p/w in multinational classes
  • Course book rental and additional course materials
  • Placement test and end of course level certificate
  • Attendance and individual student report
  • Afternoon cultural and activity programme with one evening activity per week
  • One full day excursion each weekend
  • 24 hour emergency help line

Homestay accommodation is available from 22nd June until 9th August 2020
