Christmas is well on its way in Leeds now. The Christmas light were turned on last night, by Olympic Medal winners, Johnathan and Alistair Brownlee and today sees the opening of the Christmas Market in Millennium Square.
Millennium Square will be transformed into a scenic festive village from Friday 11 November until Sunday 18 December with new stalls and venues.
The market has a new layout this year and will include an open air square with a stage that will feature a daily programme of music as well as a weekly children’s show every Sunday morning from 11am (except Sunday 13th Nov).
Another great new highlight for 2016 will be the brand new Ski Bar, set in a traditional mountain chalet offering an apres-ski atmosphere.
Back again this year is the popular Alp Chalet - a Bavarian styled restaurant with a new lunch time menu for 2016 and the much loved ‘Kuh Stall’, complete with a real log fire.
The Christmas Market also includes many stalls, where you can buy traditional crafts, decorations, jewellery, toys and traditional German food, such as bratwurst sausages, schnitzels, soups, gingerbread, roasted nuts and stollen.
